Stopped in on our way back from Mont-Ste-Marie. I have to admit I was initially weirded out by their unique way of doing things (order first, then seat yourself and somehow they find you when your food is ready?). The food was brought to us reasonably quick and it was fantastic. We were there with our two young children and they both also loved it. The prices were great and the food was tasty and healthy.
Note to other parents -- there is an upstairs which didn't seem to get much use. It was ideal for us because the little ones wanted to run around a bit after being in the car for a couple of hours. -

Sweet cafe / thrift / breakfast and mid day eatery with wonderful deck on the lake front. Proprietor is a great gent. We just stopped for cappuccinos and wifi. Excellent.

A great cafe... We ordered the bagel with smoked salmon, soup of the day and crossaint ham cheese sandwich....Damn good...Wow what a breakfast..Reminded me of Edinburgh.....The coffee was equally good...Wakefield, hands down you got great places to eat....

Good atmosphere. Lunch sizes are small, but tasty. It is a good test to drink coffee watching river after a good hike. Peaceful environment.
